Job Description
The Department of Fine Arts at Winthrop University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Art History and Museum Professions. The successful candidate will have teaching and research experience in global arts and visual culture (1500-1900). While the cultural/geographic area is open preference will be given to scholar-teachers specializing in African and/or African Diaspora art histories. We seek a scholar whose work engages visual and material culture broadly defined. We particularly welcome applicants who can contribute a secondary teaching field in museum and curatorial studies.
