POSITION OVERVIEW
The Bookkeeper maintains financial transaction records and assists with day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are important qualifications, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate is a skilled multitasker, is reliable, and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Enter member payments and vendor invoices.
Engage members as the first point of contact for billing inquiries.
Reconcile daily Point of Sale transactions, including tip splits.
Count and replenish daily cash bags.
Assist Controller with payroll processing, including reconciling benefit deductions and contributions.
Enter cash payment receipts and reconcile petty cash.
Process timely bank deposits.
Assist Controller with deposit and expense reconciliations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bookkeeping experience required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and ideally Jonas software.
Experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operation.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines consistently.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs as needed.
