Nashville Based | Social Media Video Editor + Content Creator

Norwood Social Co. is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Video Editor + Content Creator to plan and film in-person client shoots in Nashville and edit engaging short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and paid social. Needs to be able to edit 5-6 Videos a Day.

We’re a Nashville-based social media agency working with brands across beauty, wellness, hospitality, fashion, and more. We’re looking for someone who understands social media, has strong creative instincts, and can bring content to life from the initial shotlist through the final edit.

• Plan and attend in-person client shoots throughout the Nashville area.
\n
• Develop shotlists and content concepts in collaboration with our account managers and strategists.
\n
• Film interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, treatments, products, lifestyle footage, and personality-driven social content.
\n
• Direct clients and team members on camera, helping them feel comfortable while capturing the footage needed.
\n
• Edit short-form videos using footage from client shoots, interviews, UGC, and existing assets.
\n
• Build strong hooks and compelling stories through thoughtful pacing, clip selection, and sound.
\n
• Add captions, text overlays, graphics, image pop-ups, and audio.
\n
• Adapt your filming and editing style to each client’s brand, audience, and goals.
\n
• Create alternate hooks and versions for organic content and paid ads.
\n
• Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and incorporate feedback.
\n
• Keep footage, project files, and final exports organized.
\n
• Bring fresh ideas, references, and relevant trends to the team.
\n

• A portfolio of strong short-form video work for brands, creators, or agencies.
\n
• Hands-on experience both filming social content and editing finished videos.
\n
• Proficiency in CapCut or comparable editing software.
\n
• Confidence capturing high-quality content on an iPhone or camera, with an understanding of lighting, framing, and clear audio.
\n
• Experience developing shotlists and directing in-person content shoots.
\n
• A strong eye for pacing, typography, composition, and visual storytelling.
\n
• An understanding of how creative choices change across polished brand content, casual TikToks, educational videos, and ads.
\n
• Someone who can work from a brief while contributing their own creative judgment.
\n
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines across multiple clients.
\n
• Based in Nashville or the surrounding area, with availability to travel locally for client shoots.
\n

Bonus: Experience with motion graphics, beauty and lifestyle brands, or paid social creative.
